Huntsville Celebrates Dara Howell Olympic Gold Medallist!
On February 28, 2014, over 5,000 people gathered in Rivermill Park in Downtown Huntsville to welcome home Olympic Gold Medallist Dara Howell. Dara Howell received a key to the town and had street named after her – Dara Howell Way.
Speeches, tributes, fireworks and an incredible performance by the band Down With Webster capped off a great evening of civic pride. Dara Howell sat out in the cold a signed autographs until every single person that wanted one got one. Dara Howell has done a wonderful job representing our community on the world stage and we would like to say thank you!
