Organizers Dub Huntsville’s FIRST Muskoka Life Show a Success

HUNTSVILLE — The Canada Summit Centre was packed on Saturday, June 17, but it wasn’t for a sporting event.

The Summer Muskoka Life Show, co-hosted by Metroland Media’s Muskoka Life magazine and the Huntsville-Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce, was the first event of its kind and brought roughly 80 vendors, plus celebrity interior designers Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan of Colin and Justin’s Cabin Pressure, to Huntsville’s recreation centre to offer home, garden, cottage, food and decor inspiration.

Jack Tynan, publications manager for Muskoka Life, applauded the partnership, stating the event had “tremendous vendor support from area businesses.”

“Teamwork, mixed with the unique businesses found in our special piece of cottage country, and the addition of guests like Colin and Justin, created the perfect mix for a lifestyle show to launch the summer of 2017. It was tremendous fun and we look forward to making it an annual event,” said Tynan.

Kelly Haywood, executive director of the Huntsville-Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce, echoed Tynan’s sentiments.

“This show was a natural collaboration with Metroland, but certainly exceeded our expectations and we look forward to partnering with this team again next year,” said Haywood. “The event was designed to promote our local businesses to our community members and seasonal residents, but I think a lot more was accomplished at this event, in terms of the business-to-business networking that occurred. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome; we had excellent support from local exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers and staff at the Canada Summit Centre. I would be remiss not thanking Myke Malone for his tireless efforts — his co-ordination of the show was second to none.”
