Polyethylene Pipe

Pipefusion is a supplier of high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) available in solid wall, perforated, profile wall, insulated and gas applications. HDPE is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum.  Pipefusion is a Sclairpipe® High Density Polyethylene Pipe distributor – sizes ranging from 3/4″ through 63″ diameter, the largest HDPE pressure pipe in the world. With a high strength-to-density ratio, HDPE pipe is used in the production of corrosion-resistant piping. HDPE is quickly becoming the material of choice among engineers and contractor’s working in the aquaculture, agriculture, energy, gas, geothermal, industrial, landfill, marine, mining, municipal landfill and recreation industries. We have the ability to source HDPE piping products from an extensive network of manufactures and suppliers across Canada and the United States. We offer fast, professional, reliable service at very competitive prices. Our customers have a clear need for pipe materials that offer longer pipeline life expectancy, greater pipeline integrity and durability, lower total installation costs and environment advantages over traditional pipe materials. At Pipefusion we believe that reliable, leak-free and corrosion free pipeline infrastructure is attainable and we strive to provide that to our customers in the most efficient and cost effective way.

Insulated

Pipefusion is a supplier of Urecon pre-insulated pipe and heat trace systems which are ideally suited for the harsh conditions commonly found in mining.

Typical applications include:

  • Shallow buried water and sewer systems for permanent or temporary construction/staff campsites
  • Mine process water, reclaim water and tailings
  • Shallow buried or above ground fire water lines
  • Pre-insulated piping in racks or on sleepers (often jacketed with Spiwrap system (galvanized steel or aluminum material)

In many cases, the piping used in northern mining is laid directly on grade. Carrier pipe can vary from steel to plastic but the most common material in extreme temperatures is HDPE. Pre-insulated polyethylene pipe is resilient yet flexible (even with urethane insulation and PE jacket) allowing for fewer fittings as the pipe simply follows the topography of the landscape.

Insulated

PE casing is used as an outside jacket as it tough enough to resist the friction from initial placement and the expansion/contraction on jagged terrain while in operation. Fused HDPE joints create a constant insulation jacket outer diameter which is ideal for laid-on-grade pipe. The Urecon Slipjoint® is the preferred choice at the joints on these applications.

Pipefusion chose Urecon due to their decades of experience designing and supplying for the most severe temperatures the far north can deliver have earned us a reputation as leaders in the field of pre-insulated and heat traced HDPE.
